Newcastle consultancy Duo Global Consulting has announced a turnover growth of over 30 per cent last year with further growth planned for 2019.
Founded by managing director Laura Weaving and commercial director Sarah Callender, Duo specialises in employee behaviours and works with scaleup businesses to attract and engage high performing people, based on their behaviours.
Since its establishment in 2014, the firm has worked with companies across the UK and US, using a hands-on approach to help companies optimise employee quality and performance with tools such as career mapping, vision and values integration and change management.
London client DRS (Document Risk Solutions) has worked with the originally US-based consultancy firm for a number of years, and both companies have chosen the North East to grow their businesses.
DRS recently placed 31st in the Sunday Times “100 Best Small Companies to Work For”, and since the opening of its Newcastle office, it has grown from three people to a 30-strong team in 2018 with plans to extend its team to 50 people in 2019, all with Duo’s ongoing support.
Michael Beaton, director at DRS commented: “Duo has played a key part in our business’ growth for a long time now, starting with our London office, and now at our Newcastle base too. Recruiting the right people is absolutely fundamental for us and a behaviour focussed approach to team development is working seamlessly with our growth strategy.”
Duo itself has ambitious plans for this year, including the further development of an in-house SAAS (software as a service) where people can establish key behaviours from those within a business, as well as an aim to achieve at least 40 per cent growth.
Laura Weaving, managing director at Duo commented: “2018 was an incredible year for us – the team and I are truly motivated by working with scale-up business to both find the right people to support their growth, alongside optimising team behaviours to increase performance.”← Back to all Press
